Snoop Dogg appearing on The Howard Stern Show, shared an interesting and rare Tupac story. A story that only Snoop can tell.
“One time before he was on Death Row records, when he was just my homeboy, after we had met at the Poetic Justice wrap party, I was in New York. I was doing Saturday Night Live, and he was out here,” says Snoop.
Tupac and Snoop would meet for the first time at the 1993 Poetic Justice wrap party in which many celebrities were on hand, such as Ice Cube, and Michael Rapaport.
Michael Rapaport, who was there to witness this moment, spoke about it on 93.5 KDAY with CeCe & Romeo. “That night was a cool night because I saw with my own eyes and heard the conversation between Tupac when he first, the very first time met Snoop Dogg. That also happened a couple of hours before, so it was a memorable night, memorable time,” said Michael Rapaport.
As Snoop recalls the night he was to perform on SNL, Tupac made sure he looked out for him.
“He was like, “What’s up my n**** where you at”. I’m like, I’m at Saturday Night Live. I’m like I ain’t got no dope. That’s when it was hard getting weed over here. I’m like cuz, I ain’t got no dope.”
Tupac wouldn’t waste any time to save his friend, quickly showing up backstage at SNL (Saturday Night Live) with a bag of weed and Madonna. It is well documented that Tupac and Madonna dated back in the nineties. A relationship confirmed by Rosie Perez and Madonna herself. “So, he pulls up, but guess who he pulls up with? He shows up with Madonna,” says Snoop. “He tells her have a seat. She looks at me. I look at her, I say “Oh wow, that’s Madonna”.
Tupac breaks up with Madonna
Tupac, while in prison, once wrote a letter to Madonna, breaking up with the pop icon. A letter that was made public by Madonna’s former friend, Darlene Lutz. Madonna would fight for her right to keep the letter but ended up losing at the end. New York Supreme Court Judge Gerald Lebovits dismissed Madonna’s lawsuit against her former friend Darlene Lutz, as the Judge stated the statue of limitation to recover her items had passed.
Madonna’s defense was that she never knew Darlene Lutz was in possession of Tupac’s letter until she read about it online in 2017. The Judge wasn’t buying her defense one bit especially with the fact that Madonna back in 2004 signed a settlement agreement relinquishing ownership to every item Lutz possessed. One of those items was indeed the Tupac breakup letter.

Madonna was also advised by the Judge to sue her own brother, Christopher Ciccone, since he gave some of the items to Darlene Lutz.
