Angie Martinez Tells For Unreleased Tupac Interviews: “I Was Afraid That Someone Would Die”

An interesting case from the last few days put the curiosity to the top of Tupac fans, who did not give up hope that there are still unreleased materials from their idol. Angie Martinez blow set the bomb mechanism in her late interview where Pac was mentioned.

It did not become clear from the interview of the radio host and actress, what exactly was her relationship with the late hip-hop star. But it was obvious that she followed the advice of another famous rapper Jay-Z to keep the tapes saved and unreleased for so long.

Angie Martinez is known for her great job in “The Voice of New York“, which became her nickname. The show was on number 1 place of audience charts many times, being able to hold the interest of the youngsters as well.

The female host herself interviewed Tupac numerous times. The meetings were on a different period of his career until the very end. However, it does not become clear at all how she got the tapes actually. And probably we will never know, but it is a fact that Angie kept this secret for a long time.

Angie Martinez: “It was actually Jay-Z that told me to put it in a safe place”

She even explains how and where the actual tapes were kept. It is a very interesting story. In another interview, Martinez shared the info about the place she was keeping the tapes and it was the laundry room.

That specific information made Jay-Z worried and he felt like he has to give personal advice to the lady, who is the owner of probably one of the last tapes of Tupac. And Mr. Carter explained very well his point.

According to Martinez, he said there is always a chance of fire or flood and it is very important for the tapes to be secure in any case. That is why Angie Martinez changed their location shortly after the conversation with Hov and moved them in a vault how it was supposed to be.

Though the lady is a very good journalist she seems to be also a very smart person. She was not drawn by the desire for fast fame and fortune and did not make their content public, because she thought Tupac words would make the East Coast-West Coast situation even more dangerous than it was by that time.

“I couldn’t air it on the radio because I was literally afraid that someone would die” Angie said back in 2014. “He (Tupac) was so angry and passionate at that time” she adds. So, that seems to be the reason the full convo with the rap legend was not delivered to the fans back in the days.
