In one of her IG Live conversations with Fat Joe, Cole said that Shakur asked her to write the hook for one of his future projects and wanted to sign her to Quincy Jones’ record label.
“He wanted to sign me to Quincy Jones when he was with Kidada, Quincy’s daughter, and he was gonna leave Death Row and go to sign with Quincy,” Keisha said.
After Kenya Ware was asked about her opinion, she described Tupac’s signing with Death Row Records as – coming “home”.
Interviewer: “Do you think Tupac was gonna’ leave Death Row?”
Kenya Ware replied: “Absolutely not…He came home to a family, he was embraced, he had a countless amount of money, he had cars, he had a mansion…Pac was living the life, he was HAPPY”
Kenya later defined the talks of Tupac planning to leave the record label as “conspiracy theory”.
“I was around him (Tupac) at his last hours, he was happy…What reason was it to leave? Why now?” Kenya added.
The interviewer’s next question was pointed to the rumors that Suge Knight was stealing money from Tupac.
“I would say, Pac was smart and he had his accountant and everything was fine. He counted all his pennies, I know he counted, he made sure everything was ok,” Kenya replied.
