2Pac – You Ain’t Dead Yet w./ Ryan D, Ant Dog & an unknown rapper [Unleaked]
Recorded in 1989
Studio: Blicka’s Studio in Marin City
Producer: Blicka
Ryan D: I recorded a song with a friend of mine named Blicker, who had a studio in Marin. And, and that song was called, “You Ain’t Dead Yet”. The guy who made it, his name was Blicker he was a musician he wasn’t really a rap producer. The beat was, (laughs) really wasn’t that good you know. But he had a nice studio at the time, back then I mean he had a real studio, he had a lot of money and so. He just wanted us to come rap. It was me, 2Pac, my buddy Ant Dogg, there was one more person, I can’t remember who.
It was like, at the time, people would see somebody you ain’t seen in a long time. “What’s up blood? You ain’t dead yet?” You know? That was kind of a way to say something, say what’s up to somebody. So we just made a song with that as the hook. But it wasn’t that good! (laughs) It wasn’t that good.
