September 1983: Afeni enrolls Tupac, now aged 12, in the 127th Street Ensemble, a Harlem theater group. Tupac made his first appearance onstage. He went onstage with the group at Harlem’s famous Apollo Theater. He played Travis in the play A Raisin in the Sun. Tupac was the only child in the cast.
