“In an interview with Vlad TV, Spice 1 tells his story of the night before ‘Pac was ambushed by gunfire in Vegas. According to him, the two were in the studio together on September 6, 1996. “We recorded, I think, the last song [Tupac Shakur] ever recorded,” says the rapper. …If Spice’s recollections are correct, Tupac’s verse on “Fame” is eerie. Though, the same could be said about much of his content. On this particular song, he raps things like “They got me hot when they shot me, plotted my revenge / To increase my ends, enemies gettin’ dropped” and “I know death follows me, but I’ll murder him first / And worse yet, with each breath, steps I take, breathless / Is there a cure for a hustler with a death wish?””

Spice 1 said that he had plans of linking up with Pac in Vegas but got the call that Pac was shot before getting there. However, Spice 1 explained that he didn’t think Pac would die because of his resilience. Spice 1 later detailed his reaction to Pac’s last words potentially being “f*** you” directed toward a cop on the scene the night of the shooting.
