Justice Ernst H. Rosenberger of the Appellate Division of State Supreme Court in Manhattan, who made his decision on Tuesday (May 09, 1995), set bail at $1.4 million bail. He said the bail is to consist of a guarantee of $850,000 from the Atlantic Recording Corporation, a Treasury bill for $250,000 by Bert Padell, a celebrity business manager, and $300,000 cash or bond by an insurance company.
