"Killuminati" is a 2Pac song featuring verses by E.D.I. Mean and Yaki Kadafi and hook vocals by Kastro, produced by Tony Pizarro and recorded on July 8, 1996, kicking off the Makaveli sessions (giving the album its title) and specifically the "3 day theory" sessions (July 8-10, 1996), when Tupac recorded 10 tracks. It was one of the 2 tracks Tony Pizarro produced for Tupac on Death Row (another being the interlude commonly known as "Ain't Nothing Wrong").

The studio session was engineered by Tommy D and Lance Pierre.

Tupac's second verse was a reused verse that he recorded a couple of days before for other tracks ("Untouchable" freestyle and "War Games") after he had just returned from the Versace shows in Milan (circa July 3-7). Some bars from that verse originated on the original "Untouchable" song, recorded in June 1996.

The line repeated in the end ("Makaveli the Don until I'm gone, I maintain") is a line from 2Pac's second verse on "Made Niggaz".

The song appeared on multiple July 10-12 Makaveli tracklists but was scrapped soon after and didn't reach the mixing stage, but the rough mix leaked from the very first Makaveli work DAT via the Wideawake server leaks. It first leaked in September 2010 as a part of the "Still I Rise OG album" project, and the full track with the uncut intro leaked later in April 2016 ("Got some solo shit for you niggaz - Makaveli").

The guitar is sampled from "In the Deep" by The Beginning of the End. Ricky Rouse also replays the guitar on top of it.
Ricky Rouse plays bass on it.
The drums are sampled from "God Make Me Funky" by the Headhunters and "Keep on Doin' It" by The New Birth.

Tony Pizarro remixed the song and that version was released on Still I Rise in 1999.
